After a tasty Italian breakfast, meet up with your driver and Tour Leader and make your way to the Vatican Museum in your private transportation. Skip the queue with your pre-booked tickets and follow the guide’s planned route which takes in all the major sights of one of the world’s foremost museums of Classical Antiquity, including the Belvedere Courtyard (home to the famous Apollo Belvedere), the statue of Laocoön and his sons being attacked by goddess Athena’s snakes, the Raphael Rooms, the Galleries of the Candelabra, Michelangelo’s incomparable Sistine Chapel, and of course St. Peter’s Basilica. Exit the museum and head onto Piazza San Pietro to enjoy a magnificent view of the historic Cathedral – a perfect photo opportunity – before returning to your hotel to relax and absorb all the information from your jam-packed morning. Set out again in the late afternoon to meet your leader to wander around ancient, narrow Roman streets, and head off on walking tour around the iconic sites of the city, from Piazza Navona (also known as the artists’ square) to the Pantheon, the Spanish Steps to the Piazza di Spagna, and even the Italian parliament! Head back to the hotel with your guide or finish off your day with a well-deserved dinner (not included) in the heart of the Eternal City. Overnight in Rome.

Before arriving at your destination, stop in Siena – the previously powerful city state that historically warred with Florence for dominance - to enjoy food and wine in the heart of the old town, and also experience a walking tour, taking in the Piazza del Campo, the site of the city’s famous and deadly Palio horse race. Time permitting, you may also enjoy a second stop in the medieval hill top, walled village of Monteriggioni, well known for its fortifications and watchtowers. Overnight in Florence.
